So.. I've made some changes... And I was planning on hosting for a while to see if there is any interest. I've added some chatcommands for looking at the ladder score. (rank score and top 10). I've also made so that lessonlimit is 10 + number of players currently in the server. Lastly I've reworked the scoring system to be a quicker in adding points to the system. How it works now is that every kill adds a point (and steals 1-10 points from your victim depending on your score relative to their's). Halfkills adds 0.1 - 1 point depending on your halfkill ratio. Deaths loses the points stolen. Suicides loses 1% of your points (max 10 points though) Winning a round gives a bonus equal to the current lessonlimit. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make it better let me know. I was thinking of making rankings pollable through http or something, but I'm not sure if/when I have look at it...
Would it be possible to make the server auto restart when no players are present so the MOTD would be actualized more often? And I think some http output would be great that people could see the score on some Nox related page.
Fixing the MOTD is tough. Since it is only read when nox is first started it would require a comlete restart of nox, which is troublesome considering Nox's wierd mousemovement calculations. Morden's Autoadmin in Admintools is supposed to do that, but it never worked for me. A better solution would probably be to find and edit MOTD through a hex editor, but I have no idea how to actually do that.
